Brendan & Ashton's Wedding Escourt KZN

I was told it was to be a small intimate gathering but I was blown away when I arrived at Greystone Camp in Escourt to find it was just the bride, the groom and their parents. The stunning, cosy chapel lent itself to the atmosphere, the incredible views over Wagendrift Dam painted the perfect background, and the sun glimpsing through dappled clouds accentuated everything that this couple stood for on this special day. We all felt so chilled during the photo session, which was just the 3 of us in the beautiful gardens, and had a few laughs getting to know each other with what felt like all the time in the world. What an absolute pleasure! It is nice to have a big wedding surrounded by all your friends and family but there was something so magical about this union, almost a quiet reflection of their love for each other and the promises they were making, like for that moment there was no-one else in the world but the two of them! Definitely one of my favorites!

A beautiful, sunny day awaited us among the sugar cane fields at Collisheen Estate in Umhlali for my first Hindu wedding experience....and what an experience it was! The colours of the bridal attire excited me beyond words and made the photos stand out like no other between the trees and cane fields of this stunning venue. The cultural difference of the ceremony was so interesting to watch and capture and be a part of...one that will definitely stand out for me!

How naturally beautiful is Yolandi? She was so comfortable infront of the camera, although we had difficulty fitting in those legs that just seem to go on for days! A morning in the studio was followed by some fun and laughs on Umhlanga Main Beach where she was asked to make her way to the most impossible rocky spots and almost got swept away by the waves....all in the name of the perfect shot!
